Dentist on National Dentist's Day

Did you know that National Dentist’s Day takes place on March 6th? It may not be in your calendar already. After all, it may sound like a strange holiday for you to pay attention to or celebrate. However, with a little bit of reflection, you may realize that it is an exciting holiday to be acknowledged. Continue reading to learn more about National Dentist’s Day, why you should be celebrating your dentist, and what you can do.

What Is National Dentist’s Day?

While dentistry may seem like a fairly new field of study, the truth is that it goes back thousands of years. In fact, the very first dentist who was ever recorded went by the name of Hensy Ra. He is thought to have lived and practiced back in Egypt around 2600 BCE. The man who is known to be the “Father of Modern Dentistry,” Pierre Fauchard, appeared in 1723.

Dentistry can be difficult, but National Dentist’s Day is a special day dedicated to the medical professionals committed to help patients obtain healthy smiles. This is the perfect time to think about your dentist, dental office, and health care. After all, dental care isn’t something that should be neglected.

Why Should You Celebrate the Holiday?

Even though you may not think about it every single day, your dentist does an important job. When it comes to oral health issues that cause excruciating pain, who is there to help you get relief and restore your smile to health? There isn’t anyone else that you should be turning to rather than your dentist. They are also there to help prevent future oral health issues and help you to work towards the smile of your dreams. Ultimately, you rely on your dentist, so why shouldn’t you celebrate their dedication and hard work?

How Can You Celebrate?

One of the main ways that you can celebrate is by taking a little bit of time out of your day in order to ensure that your smile is clean. You don’t want to be giving your dental team any necessary hard work during your next visit because you aren’t following excellent oral hygiene. There is no reason why you should be going forward with a smile that is anything other than healthy.

With excellent dental hygiene and regular visits to your dentist, you can set your smile up for success going forward!
