Q) What steps can I take at home to prevent gum disease?
Preventing gum disease is one of our main goals at Torbram Dental. It is recommended that you brush your teeth twice a day and floss at least once a day in order to prevent gum disease. Make sure you’re cleaning along the gum line, and don’t press too hard with your toothbrush – this can irritate gums, leaving them exposed to infiltration by toxins. Flossing helps remove disease-causing debris and bacteria from between teeth. If you would also like to use a mouthwash as part of your oral hygiene routine, ask us for a recommendation.
