Coverage Availability & Fees
Great West Life offers group dental coverage, which means you probably have your plan through your employer. The basic Great West Life dental plan works something like this:
- There is no deductible for you to worry about.
- 80% of the price of dental services are covered, up to the amount of the plan’s annual maximum (the highest amount that Great West Life will pay out in a calendar year). Some common services that you might take advantage of include: minor restorative services (fillings, pain control, etc.), root canal therapy, periodontal treatment, denture maintenance, and oral surgery.
- You can attend a preventive appointment every 9 months.
- If you require dental services as a result of an accident, your care is 100% covered.
Great West Life’s major plan offers coverage for a broader range of services. For example, it allows you to get new crowns, dentures, and bridges.
As an in-network Great West Life dentist in Brampton, Torbram Dental is in a special position to help you use your coverage to the full. We have a contract with Great West Life that controls prices, which helps you get as much as possible out of your annual maximum. We may also be able to schedule major services in a way that utilizes multiple annual maximums and keeps your out-of-pocket costs to a minimum.
